Your work looks a lot like our SharedLook tool (http://www.paradisoft.com/outlook-to-sharepoint.asp) An interesting feature we've found customers are interested in is a rule-based wizard to automate the procedure - according to the email's metadata decide into which SharePoint folder the email should be saved and how to map the metadata.
